 Friluftsliv Farmstead                                                                             

An affordable farmstead prototype made for a young family living in rural North Dakota. Throughout the various buildings on the farm sustainable practices such as; passive solar systems, green roofing, and energy efficient lighting, and water conservation fixtures are used. The home provides spaces to connect as a family and celebrate life’s joys and traditions together. 

Felleskap Vineyard is the small business on site. The retail space serves several purposes. There sre retail fixtures for the display and sale of wines made on site as well as an outdoor wine tasting cafe for the community to sample the best the vineyard has to offer. The back of house includes adequate space for the making, bottling, and storing of various wines. The second floor includes an open area for receptions and parties, with an outdoor deck.

 A Space For Milo                                                                                     

 

Milo’s bedroom suite will allow him to escape from the loud and chaotic world. It will encourage him to learn with the addition of a custom desk/storage unit that will grow and evolve as he does. Milo will also be given a private on suite bathroom that will give him independence from his siblings and parents. Using evidence based design this bedroom suite will help Milo learn and evolve into his authentic self.
